Student Volunteers
Dear Colleagues,
we invite you to participate as a student volunteer at the 3rd European Conference on Ambient Intelligence AmI 09 (November 18th - 21st, 2009) in Salzburg, Austria.
Ambient Intelligence represents a vision of the future where we shall be surrounded by technological means, sensitive and responsive to people and their behaviors, deliver advanced functions, services and experiences. Ambient intelligence is expected to combine concepts of ubiquitous technology, intelligent systems and advanced user interfaces putting the humans in the centre of technological developments. Future contextual solutions are envisaged exploiting the power of Ambient Intelligence.
The registration for the AmI 09 student volunteer program is now open.
As a student volunteer you will be a part of the conference and essential for its success. Therefore student volunteers participate in the following way:
- Work a minimum of 16 hours at AmI 09 as a student volunteer.
- Arrive in Salzburg at the latest by Tuesday, November 17th and stay through until the end of the conference on Saturday. There are some shifts available to work on Tuesday for those who arrive earlier and want to get some hours out of the way. But you must arrive in time to attend Tuesday evening SV orientation.
- Attend SV orientation on Tuesday evening.
- Pay for your own housing, transportation to and from Salzburg and the conference, and any meals that are not provided.
- Be a helpful smiling interface to the conference for other attendees whether on duty or off.
- We pay your registration fees and give you a conference social event ticket.
- We provide you with lunch and coffee in some breaks (food details are still being worked out).
- We give you a colorful SV t-shirt to wear on duty, which you can keep after the conference.
- We invite you to the AmI local committee party with drinks and food.
- We will do our best to manage the task requirements of the conference so that we don't need you for more than 16 hours.
- We do our best to ensure an exciting AmI 09 experience for all SVs.
- Give you the opportunity to meet the leading researchers in the field of Ambient Intelligence.
To register as a student volunteer, send an email to sv@ami-09.org including the following information.
- Your name.
