Landscapes is a new category for presentations, that do not fall in the classical category of research papers or posters. It was first introduced at the AmI-09 conference in Salzburg. Its purpose is to provide a forum for presenting ongoing and new initiatives and activities, overviews over significant projects, test beds, organizations and laboratories in the field of Ambient Intelligence.

Landscapes is meant to support building a mental model of the field as well as identifying trends and new directions in research as well as in development. Your submission should identify a specific position and make clear how it is different compared with other relevant activities and/or institutions. You are encouraged to supply additional material (e.g., videos, pictures if not part of the paper). The additional material has to be sent directly to the landscape chair.

Landscapes submissions should be at a maximum of 6 pages (including figures and references).

Authors wishing to submit papers to AmI’13 should do so through:

Guidelines on Paper submissions for all categories:

Papers must be anonymized to facilitate blind review. Authors are encouraged to take care throughout the entire document to minimize references that may reveal the identity of the authors and their institutions. Relevant references to an author's previous research should not be suppressed but instead referenced in an neutral way.

Paper submissions should respect the maximum number of pages for each category (including figures and references). Papers must be submitted in PDF format. Accepted submissions will appear in the Conference Proceedings. Confidentiality of submissions is maintained during the review process. After acceptance, a final, revised camera-ready version of the paper will be required in electronic form to go in the proceedings. Final camera-ready versions of accepted papers must be accompanied by a signed copyright form.

Paper submissions for all categories should follow the Springer guidelines for Proceedings, which is available in this link http://www.springer.com/computer/lncs?SGWID=0-164-6-793341-0 and will be published in the Conference Proceedings.
